 The house I grew up in in Plainfield, New Jersey. Our Point Pleasant, NJ summer bungalow as it looks now, the inspiration for the house in The Bay at Midnight.   Visiting the canal behind the bungalow as I did the research for The Bay at Midnight.   After chasing a Fed-Ex truck through Mendocino, CA to get my copy-edited manuscript. The glamorous writing life!  Speaking outdoors in Duck, North Carolina.  
Standing by the river in New Bern, North Carolina, as I plotted The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes.  Speaking (shoeless) to a Toledo, Ohio book club that “won” my appearance in a contest on my website.  Signing books in a Virginia bookstore.   At a Bay Head Shores, NJ, booksigning.   My outline for Before the Storm in the cut-and-paste stage.
